Team Leader – Mobile Team for CASI project in Salamieh (CASI/17)

Job Summary:

The Team Leader will be responsible for the overall coordination and supervision of the Mobile Nutrition Team, ensuring the smooth and effective implementation of field activities. The position will lead the team during field visits, coordinate with local authorities and communities, organize movement plans and daily schedules, ensure the availability of required supplies and equipment, monitor the quality and progress of field activities, and ensure timely submission of accurate reports and data.

Main Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise the Mobile Nutrition Team during field activities and ensure effective coordination among all team members.
• Conduct daily briefings and debriefing meetings and follow up on the team's daily plans and activities.
• Develop and coordinate weekly and monthly movement plans, field schedules, and team routes.
• Coordinate with local authorities, health directorates, community leaders, and other relevant stakeholders to facilitate field activities.
• Monitor the implementation and quality of nutrition screening, anthropometric measurements, referrals, counselling, and other mobile team activities.
• Review daily field data, beneficiary records, referral forms, and other documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Ensure timely submission of required daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
• Ensure the availability and proper use of required equipment, supplies, anthropometric tools, and data collection devices.
• Coordinate transportation, vehicle movements, and team safety during field visits.
• Identify and resolve field-level operational challenges and report major issues to the project management.
• Maintain effective communication with project management and technical teams regarding field progress, challenges, and operational needs.
• Ensure compliance with project protocols, safeguarding, confidentiality, data protection, and organizational policies.
• Participate in team meetings, trainings, and capacity-building activities as required.
• Perform any other duties related to the position as assigned by the supervisor.

Job Requirements:

• University degree or diploma in Nursing, Nutrition, Public Health, Health Sciences, or another relevant field.
• Minimum of two years of relevant experience in humanitarian, health, nutrition, or community-based programs.
• Prior experience working with humanitarian organizations is preferred.
• Preference will be given to candidates with at least one year of previous experience working with mobile teams.
• Previous experience supervising field teams, mobile teams, community-based programs, or emergency response activities is highly desirable.
• Strong leadership, team management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in data collection, data quality review, and field reporting.
• Good computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, and the ability to prepare formal email correspondence.
• Good written and spoken English.
• Not an employee of a government agency.
• The applicant must be able to travel between governorates.
• The ability to commit to working with AKHS-S during official working hours.
• Availability: Must be fully available and able to start work immediately / within a short notice period.
• Preference will be given to candidates living in the local area.
