Community Services and Protection Technical Coordinator

The Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC) is seeking to recruit a "Community Services and Protection Technical Coordinator" based in Damascus – Abou Remmaneh (SARC HQ with frequent field visits).

Responsibilities:

• Planning: Document Plan of Action (PoA), training, implementation, monitoring and evaluation plans. Technical support for community services and Protection plans.
• Capacity Building: Technical support, developing session plans and tools, training plan implementation, and field follow-up.
• Monitoring and Evaluation: Monitor activity progress, develop M&E plans, update program monitoring plans in line with overall M&E strategy.
• Technical support: Review reports, support regional branches to map services and develop referral SOPs, support self-care and peer-support.
• Standardization: Promote best practices following IFRC, RCRC, IASC and SPHERE guidelines. Mainstream PGI standards.
• General Responsibilities: Provide timely updates to HQ, maintain strong relationships with SARC partners, UN agencies and NGOs.

Qualifications:

• MA or MSc in Psychology or related discipline.
• Fluent in Arabic and English (spoken and written).
• 3 years working experience in psychology and psychosocial support.
• Understanding of conflict impact, knowledge of protection principles, experience managing staff/volunteers.
• Project management and Red Cross/Red Crescent experience is an asset.
• Self-supporting computer skills (Office suite).
