The Syrian Arab Red Crescent is seeking to recruit a qualified **Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) Coordinator** to lead and oversee MEAL activities at branch level, ensuring program quality, accountability, data integrity, and effective coordination with branch management and headquarters.

**Purpose of the Role**

The MEAL Coordinator leads the implementation of Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) activities at branch level. The role ensures program quality, data integrity, accountability to beneficiaries, and effective coordination with branch management and HQ.

**Key Responsibilities**

1. Coordination & Collaboration**

Conduct weekly coordination meetings with Branch Managers.

Ensure strong collaboration between MEAL and program teams.

Act as the focal point between the branch and the HQ MEAL Unit.

Perform any other assigned tasks.

2. MEAL Integration in Program Implementation**

Ensure the MEAL team is actively involved in all emergency and development response activities.

Support program teams in integrating MEAL tools into implementation.

3. Planning and Strategy

Contribute to annual planning processes, including work plans, logframes, and indicators.

Provide evidence-based recommendations for program design and improvement.

4. Monitoring and Evaluation

Oversee monitoring of all branch program activities.

Conduct regular field monitoring through:

Field visits

Direct observation

Beneficiary interaction

Ensure monitoring is conducted in coordination with program teams.

5. Reporting

Prepare and submit semi-monthly MEAL reports to HQ.

Ensure timely, accurate, and high-quality data collection and reporting.

6. Accountability Mechanisms

Establish and manage feedback and complaint mechanisms.

Ensure beneficiary feedback is documented, analyzed, and addressed.

7. Follow-Up & Compliance

Follow up on recommendations, action points, and requests from HQ.

Ensure compliance with MEAL standards, tools, and guidelines.

8. Team Management

Supervise and support MEAL volunteers.

Build volunteers’ capacity in monitoring and data collection.

**Qualifications & Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Statistics, or a related field.

* Minimum of **3–5 years** of relevant experience in Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL).

* Strong data analysis and reporting skills.

* Excellent coordination and communication skills.

* Previous experience in humanitarian or development organizations is preferred.
