Key Responsibilities

• Safeguard office petty cash and project general cash.
• Process physical cash expenditures in compliance with AKCS-S policies.
• Conduct weekly settlements of office petty cash and project general cash balances.
• Review expenditure vouchers and issue bank payment vouchers.
• Perform day-to-day bookkeeping and archive all relevant backup documents.
• Prepare periodic reports tracking actual expenses and expenditure forecasts.
• Ensure full compliance with relevant accounting standards, laws, and organizational policies.
• Assist with audits and prepare necessary documentation for auditors and donors.
• Manage relations with external parties including banks, the Social Security Department, service providers, and contractors.
• Execute other related tasks assigned by the Head of the AKCS-S Financial Department.

Candidate Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s or License Degree in Accounting or an equivalent field.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in related fields.
• Technical Competencies: Strong command of accounting principles, financial reporting, accounting software, and advanced proficiency in MS Excel.
• Language Proficiency: Very good reading and writing skills in English.
• Personal & Professional Attributes: High attention to detail, absolute integrity, confidentiality, strong organizational skills, excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, and readiness to work under pressure.
• Work Ethic: Capability to work independently as well as part of a team, manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines, and work beyond the call of duty.
