Follow-Up Engineer

الغرض من الوظيفة: To ensure effective planning, monitoring, and follow-up of water and sanitation projects within the governorate by overseeing implementation progress, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with technical standards, timelines, and program objectives, while maintaining accurate reporting and quality assurance.

المهام والمسؤوليات:

• Plan and monitor water and sanitation activities within the governorate, including joint activities with water institutions, shelters, and other projects, in coordination with the team leader, sector coordinator, and project officers.
• Contribute to the development of activities and preparation of budgets in line with program objectives, in consultation with the water team coordinator and sector coordinator.
• Follow up on engineering and technical tasks in coordination with the water project coordinator and project officers.
• Supervise ongoing works implemented by partners or contractors, and prepare periodic progress reports outlining work stages and achievements.
• Prepare technical reports on implemented projects and support the development of periodic reports (monthly or otherwise) required by the head office.
• Monitor and participate in project handover processes, ensuring quality of implementation and compliance with technical specifications, in coordination with engineers and volunteers.
• Conduct field visits when necessary to monitor progress and assess performance.
• Maintain continuous coordination with all relevant stakeholders (team leader, sector coordinator, project officers, and volunteers) to ensure efficient implementation.
• Ensure full confidentiality and accuracy in handling all information (public and private).
• Actively work towards the achievement of the SARC goals
• Abide by and work in accordance with the Red Cross and Red Crescent principles
• Perform any other related duties and responsibilities that may be assigned by the line manager

المؤهلات المطلوبة:

• Bachelor degree in Engineering, higher academic degree is an added value.
• Experience in the area of coordination and planning (2 years of relevant experience).
• Ability to design, manage, and supervise projects, and monitor field activities
• Strong interpersonal skills, including ability to operate effectively across organizational boundaries.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relations with people in a multi-cultural, multi-ethnic environment with sensitivity and respect for diversity.
• Ability to prioritize and perform multi-skilled tasks.
• Fluent in English and Arabic, spoken and written.
• A very good level in using Microsoft Office and other communication platforms (MS Teams, Zoom, ...).
• A very good level in using AutoCAD and other engineering programs.
