MEAL Coordinator (Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning)

Working Place: Rural Damascus Branch - Jaramana

Purpose of the Role

The MEAL Coordinator leads the implementation of monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning activities at branch level. The role ensures program quality, data integrity, accountability to beneficiaries, and effective coordination with branch management and HQ.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and oversee MEAL activities at branch level

• Monitor program implementation and ensure data quality

• Ensure strong collaboration between MEAL and program teams

• Act as the focal point between branch and HQ MEAL unit

• Prepare and submit regular MEAL reports

• Actively contribute to annual planning processes (next year’s plans, logframes, indicators)

• Manage accountability, feedback, and complaint mechanisms

• Ensure the MEAL team is actively involved in all response activities (emergency and development)

• Coordinate with program teams and HQ MEAL Unit

• Supervise and support MEAL volunteers

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Statistics, or a related field

• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant MEAL experience

• Strong data analysis and reporting skills

• Excellent coordination and communication skills

• Experience in humanitarian or development organizations is an asset
