MEAL Coordinator

The Syrian Arab Red Crescent (Homs Branch) is seeking to recruit a MEAL Coordinator (Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning).

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordination & Collaboration: Conduct weekly coordination meetings with Branch Managers; ensure strong collaboration between MEAL and program teams; act as the focal point between branch and HQ MEAL unit.
• MEAL Integration: Ensure the MEAL team is actively involved in all response activities (emergency and development); support program teams in integrating MEAL tools into implementation.
• Planning and Strategy: Actively contribute to annual planning processes (plans, logframes, indicators) and provide evidence-based inputs for program design.
• Monitoring and Evaluation: Oversee monitoring of all branch program activities through field visits, direct observation, and beneficiary interaction.
• Reporting: Prepare and submit semi-monthly MEAL reports to HQ ensuring timely, accurate, and high-quality data.
• Accountability Mechanisms: Establish and manage feedback and complaint mechanisms; ensure beneficiary feedback is documented, analyzed, and addressed.
• Follow-Up & Compliance: Track and follow up on tasks, recommendations, and requests from HQ ensuring compliance with MEAL standards.
• Team Management: Supervise, support, and build capacity of MEAL Volunteers in data collection and monitoring.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, development studies, statistics, or a related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant MEAL experience.
• Strong data analysis and reporting skills.
• Excellent coordination and communication skills.
• Experience in humanitarian or development organizations is preferred.
