PSS Worker - JRS Syria (Location: Aleppo - Sakhour)

Position Title: PSS Worker

Location: Aleppo – Sakhour

Commitment Type: Full Time (Volunteering Opportunity)

Main Responsibility:

• Monitoring and evaluating needs related to psychosocial support at the beginning and end of the project to measure the extent of development and change.
• Developing scientific content, Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) activities, and intervention plans for individuals and groups.
• Accompanying children and Families by providing appropriate psychological and emotional support at both individual and group levels.
• Collaborating with the field visit team as needed.
• Participating in the implementation the awareness sessions.
• Providing necessary psychosocial support to the team at all intervention levels.
• Entering, documenting and archiving relevant data.
• Referring cases in coordination with the Case Workers.

Minimum Qualifications:

• University Degree preferably in psychology, sociology, Humanities, or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 professional year of experience in the field.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Strong knowledge of MS office pack. Especially: Excel, Word.
• Demonstrated strong analytical, time management strategic thinking and planning skills.
• Ability to work in multicultural environment.
