Job PurposeThe Partnerships Coordinator plays a central role within the Partnerships, responsible for initiating, developing, and maintaining strategic partnerships and institutional funding opportunities. The role bridges external engagement with internal program development by actively participating in the full project lifecycle — from opportunity identification to proposal development and donor engagement — in alignment with organizational strategies and local priorities.
Duties and Responsibilities1. Strategic Partnership Management
- Lead and maintain relationships with current partners including donors, UN agencies, INGOs, and local/national NGOs.
- Organize and facilitate partnership review meetings, satisfaction surveys, and performance feedback sessions.
- Act as the main focal point for addressing partnership-related issues in coordination with relevant departments.
- Maintain an updated communication matrix and documentation of all partnership engagements.
2. Business Development & Donor Engagement
- Monitor funding opportunities through donor platforms and internal/external networks.
- Conduct initial strategic-fit and eligibility analyses of donor opportunities.
- Prepare and present Go/No-Go briefs to senior management and coordinate follow-up steps.
- Serve as the key liaison with donors during the pre- and post-submission phases.
- Track and analyze donor trends, priorities, and strategic shifts relevant to the Syria context.
3. Proposal Development Support
- Coordinate internally with Programs, MEAL, Grants, and Finance for the preparation of EOIs, concept notes, and full proposals.
- Ensure organizational capabilities and experience are appropriately reflected in donors’ documents.
- Coordinate with partners for joint proposal development or consortium design.
- Support proposal kick-off meetings and facilitate access to partnership tools and templates.
4. Documentation & Knowledge Management
- Ensure all partnership communications, MoUs, and agreements are properly archived and easily accessible.
- Document and share feedback and lessons learned from funding opportunities.
- Contribute to the preparation and dissemination of organizational newsletters and external updates.
- Maintain up-to-date profiles of organizational history, capacity statements, and partnership success stories.
5. Strategic Contribution
- Support the development and periodic revision of the organization’s Partnership Strategy.
- Contribute to localization efforts by enhancing collaboration with Syrian-led organizations and networks.
- Identify funding opportunities and support engagement plans.
Academic Qualifications, Requirements, and Skills Requirements:
- University degree in International Development, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in partnerships, resource mobilization, or donor relations within the humanitarian or development sector.
- Proven experience working with institutional donors (e.g., UN, ECHO, BHA, etc.).
- Strong understanding of humanitarian coordination mechanisms.
- Excellent communication skills in Arabic and English.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital communication tools.
Desired:
- Prior experience working in proposal development or consortium formation.
- Understanding of donor compliance, reporting cycles, and localization agendas.
- Experience using tools like donor mapping, communications plans, and partner tracking systems.
