SRH Officer - Menbij, Aleppo - National position

Job Profile:

Under the direct supervision of the NWS BHA Project Manager and technical support of the Health and Nutrition Specialist and Protection Coordinator, the SRH Officer is responsible for technical supervision, mentoring, and support to Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) teams (Gynaecologists, midwives, general practitioners) in RI-supported health facilities and WGSSs/One Stop centers in NWS, including CMR (Clinical Management of Rape) services to SGBV survivors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Acquaint oneself with international and Syria-specific SRH service protocols, guidelines, and standards.
• Conduct regular capacity-building assessments of SRH staff and design/implement capacity-building plans (mentoring, on-the-job training, case reviews).
• Conduct regular SRH service audits in HFs and WGSS/One Stop centers to evaluate technical quality and implementation.
• Ensure HFs are ready to provide quality SGBV clinical care services (trained SGBV focal persons, dedicated private spaces, lockable storage, and adequate stock of RH Kit 3).
• Ensure SRH staff follow agreed referral pathways between health and protection services.
• Submit regular reports, contribute to thematic reports for internal improvement and cluster advocacy, and analyze/interpret health data.

Person Specification / Requirements:

• University degree as Medical Doctor from a recognized institute (Specialization as Gynecologist/Obstetrician or additional training in SRH is an added advantage).
• At least 5 years of experience in providing SRH & SGBV services in a health center or hospital, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Extensive experience in supervision, capacity building, and training facilitation.
• Ability to validate and interpret health data, particularly reproductive health data.
• Strong background in planning, organizing, and conducting trainings.
• Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, and communication skills.
