Job description
Job Purpose
The Start-ups Business Consultant is responsible for supporting aspiring entrepreneurs and early-stage start-ups participating in the Recovery and Innovation Lab. The role focuses on providing business advisory services, mentoring, coaching, and technical guidance to help participants transform innovative ideas into viable and sustainable business models. The consultant will contribute to strengthening entrepreneurship, innovation, digital transformation, and employment opportunities while ensuring that project activities are implemented in line with project objectives, donor requirements, and organizational standards.
Key Responsibilities
Provide one-to-one business coaching and mentoring to start-up teams and aspiring entrepreneurs.
Support beneficiaries in developing innovative and market-oriented business ideas.
Facilitate business planning sessions, including Business Model Canvas (BMC), Lean Startup methodology, and business planning.
Guide participants in conducting market research and customer validation.
Support beneficiaries in preparing feasibility studies and business plans.
Provide technical advice on financial planning, budgeting, pricing strategies, and cash flow management Support participants in preparing investment pitches and pitch deck presentations.
Mentor start-up teams during innovation challenges, hackathons, and incubation activities. Assist entrepreneurs in identifying funding opportunities, grants, competitions, and investment readiness requirements.
Coordinate with trainers and technical experts to ensure the quality of entrepreneurship and business development activities.
Monitor the progress of incubated start-ups and provide continuous technical support throughout the incubation period.
Support beneficiaries in identifying digital business opportunities, freelancing pathways, and technology-based entrepreneurship.
Contribute to the design and delivery of entrepreneurship training sessions and workshops.
Develop business development tools, mentoring materials, and practical guidance documents. Coordinate with local private sector actors, chambers of commerce, universities, and entrepreneurship ecosystems to create networking and partnership opportunities.
Document mentoring sessions, business progress, lessons learned, challenges, and success stories. Collect monitoring and evaluation data related to business incubation activities and contribute to project reporting.
Participate in regular project review meetings and provide technical recommendations for improving entrepreneurship interventions. Ensure that all activities comply with organizational policies, donor requirements, safeguarding, accountability, and protection principles.

Qualification (Education/Work Experience)
. Essential :
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Entrepreneurship, Economics, Finance, Management, Industrial Engineering, Marketing, or any related field.
Minimum three years of professional experience in entrepreneurship development, business consulting, SME development, incubation, acceleration programmes, or livelihoods projects.
Demonstrated experience in providing mentoring and coaching to entrepreneurs or start-up businesses
. Desirable /arzu edilir:
Experience working in humanitarian or early recovery programmes.
Experience in innovation labs, incubation programmes, accelerators, or entrepreneurship support initiatives. Knowledge of Business Model Canvas, Lean Startup, Design Thinking, and business incubation methodologies.
Familiarity with digital entrepreneurship, freelancing ecosystems, and technology-based start-ups.
Experience in proposal development, grant management, or business competition programmes
