MEAL Assistant - Menbij - National position

Job Profile:

The MEAL Assistant supports the implementation of Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) activities at the field level under the supervision of the MEAL Senior Officer / MEAL Officer.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct quantitative and qualitative data collection (PDM, exit interviews, KAP surveys, FGDs, KIIs) using digital tools (Kobo, Power Apps) or paper-based forms.
• Carry out on-site spot checks and regular field monitoring visits to protection/health centers.
• Receive, document, and refer feedback and complaints from beneficiaries through various channels.
• Check FCRM tools in facilities to ensure accessibility.
• Support awareness sessions, group discussions, and provide logistical/technical support for surveys and FGDs.
• Submit daily/weekly updates to the MEAL Officer on progress and field observations.
• Collaborate with the program team on joint questionnaires and needs assessments.
• Uphold RI’s code of conduct, safeguarding policies, integrity, and professionalism.

Person Specification / Requirements:

• University degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in the same field.
• Previous experience in data collection using digital tools (Kobo, ODK, ONA, CommCare) or paper forms.
• Basic knowledge of monitoring and evaluation practices (surveys, FGDs, KIIs, data entry).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Basic proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and internet use.
• Fluency in Arabic, with working knowledge of English.
