Job Purpose
The purpose of this position is to lead the mobile Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) team within the mobile mental health clinic, ensuring the provision of integrated, safe, and high-quality services.
The Team Leader is responsible for directly supervising team members—including psychologists, psychosocial workers, doctors, and case managers—and ensuring effective field coordination. The role involves providing technical and supervisory support, organizing clinical files, monitoring intervention plans, managing internal and external referral pathways, and coordinating administrative and logistical workflows with management.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Supervision: Collaborate with the psychiatrist, mhGAP doctor, and psychologist to provide technical and administrative supervision to the mobile MHPSS team through individual and group sessions.
- Clinical Case Support: Provide direct technical guidance to psychologists and PSS workers handling severe or complex cases to ensure interventions align with approved protocols.
- Reporting & Data Collection: Collect, review, and compile qualitative and quantitative reports from team members to prepare consolidated final reports for management.
- Team Management: Ensure team adherence to working hours, assigned field schedules, outreach plans, and duties within required timeframes.
- Activity Planning: Organize monthly and quarterly planning for mobile clinic activities, including psychosocial support services, group sessions, awareness campaigns, and community outreach.
- Quality Assurance: Monitor the implementation of field plans, schedules, and outcomes, providing corrective technical guidance to maintain high service standards.
- Referral Pathway Activation: Facilitate effective internal coordination among team members and external coordination with other humanitarian service providers to optimize referral mechanisms.
- Documentation & Tracking: Oversee the proper documentation, execution, and follow-up of all internal and external referrals for beneficiaries requiring specialized care.
- Capacity Building: Identify the team's professional training needs and contribute to organizing and facilitating capacity-building activities.
- Ethical Standard Enforcement: Guarantee absolute adherence to core humanitarian principles, including confidentiality, informed consent, non-discrimination, beneficiary dignity, and "do no harm."
- Logistical Coordination: Liaise closely with the Center Manager and relevant management regarding administrative, organizational, and logistical field requirements.
- Continuous Improvement: Track field challenges, provide technical feedback, propose operational solutions, and implement corrective actions to improve service delivery.
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: University degree in Counseling or Psychology.
- Experience Requirements:
- At least two (2) years of experience supervising MHPSS teams.
- At least three (3) years of total experience within the MHPSS sector.
- Proven experience in practicing psychotherapy and managing severe/complex cases.
- Language: Arabic language fluency is mandatory.
- Technical Knowledge & Skills:
- High level of clinical supervision skills.
- Strong working knowledge of therapeutic techniques (e.g., CBT, EMDR, NET).
- Solid background in protection and general health subjects.
- Comprehensive knowledge of IASC MHPSS Guidelines.
- Proficiency in using email and MS Office programs.
- Required Training Certifications: Basic skills training, CBT, NET, EMDR training courses, PM+ (Problem Management Plus), PFA (Psychological First Aid), suicide prevention, and specialized clinical supervision training.
