Job purpose:
The Digital Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the implementation and quality of digital learning activities within the Non-Formal Education (NFE) project. The position ensures the effective implementation of digital learning activities, proper use of educational technology and digital platforms, capacity building of project staff, teachers, and compliance with project scope and organizational standards.
Under the overall supervision of the Education Coordinator, the Digital Supervisor will support the integration of technology-enhanced learning approaches to improve access to quality educational opportunities for out-of-school children and adolescents in Raqqa.
Major Responsibilities
a. Supervise the day-to-day implementation of digital education activities at the targeted schools.
b. Ensure digital learning sessions are delivered according to project plans, schedules, and quality standards.
c. Support the integration of digital content and educational technology into NFE programming.
d. Monitor learners' participation, engagement, and progress in digital learning activities.
e. Ensure that all digital interventions are implemented in line with UNICEF guidelines and project objectives.
f. Collaborate with project staff to deliver awareness messages to community members, stakeholders about digital learning approaches.
g. Coordinate with school administrations, and community representatives, regarding digital learning activities.
h. Support awareness activities promoting digital literacy and technology-based learning.
Capacity Building and Volunteer Development
- Provide technical supervision and guidance to teachers and relevant education staff.
- Conduct regular coaching, mentoring, and on-the-job training sessions.
- Identify capacity-building needs and contribute to the development of training plans.
- Support staff in troubleshooting digital learning challenges and improving instructional practices.
- Conduct regular monitoring visits to project sites and schools.
- Ensure adherence to approved curricula, digital learning methodologies, and safeguarding standards.
- Collect, review, and verify digital learning data and attendance records.
- Maintain accurate documentation and submit timely reports to the Education Coordinator.
Advocacy, External Engagement and Partnering
- Build effective relationships with local children’s groups, parent groups, etc.) to ensure sustainability of programming.
Safeguarding
a. Report adult and child safeguarding incidents for designated area programmes (Levels 1-3)
b. Support proper implementation of the office’s Safeguarding Incident Preparedness Plans at local area program me level.
Any additional tasks required by the line manager.
Knowledge/Qualifications for the Role
Required Professional Experience:

2-5 years’ work experience in the field of education.
-
Experience of working with humanitarian agencies in Syria.
-
Knowledge and understanding of how to apply a systems approach to education programming**.**
Required Education, training, license, registration, and certification:
- University degree in education or related field – Essential.
Preferred Knowledge and Qualifications:
- Strong inter-personal communication and collaboration skills.
- Knowledge of common national education issues, learning platforms.
- Ability to work individually and in a team – Essential.
- Attention to detail – Essential.
- Time management skills – Essential.
- Ability to cope and work under pressure, multi-task and meet deadlines – Essential
- Good skills in using digital equipment and platforms, and learning applications.
