EMERGENCY NGO is an international non-governmental organization established in 1994 to provide free, high-quality medical and surgical care to victims of war, landmines, and poverty, while promoting a culture of peace, solidarity, and respect for human rights. Since its foundation, EMERGENCY has treated more than 11 million patients worldwide. The organization currently operates also in Afghanistan, Ethiopia, Gaza, Iraq, Italy (incl. Search and Rescue in Mediterranean Sea), Sierra Leone, Sudan, Ukraine, Uganda.

The Al Rastan Hospital, Syria will be a healthcare facility dedicated to providing free, high-quality medical services to vulnerable populations. The hospital will aim to ensure equitable access to healthcare while contributing to the strengthening of local health services and fostering a culture of dignity, respect, and human rights.
POSITION: Quantity Surveyor
REPORTING TO: Coordination & Contract Manager
SUPPORTS: Lead Civil Engineer, Lead Electrical Engineer, Lead Mechanical & Plumbing Engineer (for measurements in their respective disciplines)
SUPERVISES (functional): Civil Site Assistant, Electrical Site Assistant, Mechanical & Plumbing Site Assistant (for measurements and quantity take-offs)
SCOPE OF THE POSITION:
The Quantity Surveyor is responsible for carrying out and coordinating all quantity measurement activities required for monthly progress payments, variation management, and verification of contractors' executed quantities.
Working under the supervision of the Coordination & Contract Manager, the role provides measurement support across all project disciplines, including civil, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing works.
The Quantity Surveyor also coordinates and reviews the measurement activities performed by the Site Assistants, ensuring that all collected data are accurate, properly documented, consistent, and submitted within the required deadlines. Consolidated measurement records are then provided to the Coordination & Contract Manager to support the preparation of Interim Payment Certificates and project progress reporting.
